二、明真諦合俗諦，但取中道為真諦，明此真諦者，即是別教之二諦也。所言真諦合俗諦為世諦者，《大涅槃經》云「我與彌勒共說俗諦，五百聲聞皆謂說第一義諦」，此即別教二諦。亦得有三種二諦，類前可知也。

Second, clarifying the combination of the ultimate truth with the conventional truth, where only the middle way is taken as the ultimate truth—clarifying this ultimate truth is precisely the two truths of the distinctive teaching. As for what is called combining the ultimate truth with the conventional truth to constitute conventional truth, the Mahānirvāṇa Sūtra states: "When I, together with Maitreya, spoke conventional truth, five hundred śrāvakas all thought that we were speaking paramārtha-satya." These are the two truths of the distinctive teaching. There can also be three kinds of two truths, which can be known by analogy with the preceding.
