6.84

大段第三，明佛國因果為宗者，宗即是一教之綱維，如有王處，必有輔臣共治。經既立體，必須明宗以成教也。今明此義，略為五重：

Major section three: clarifying the cause and fruit of the Buddha-land as the central theme. The central theme is the guiding principle of a teaching; just as where there is a king, there must be assisting ministers who govern together with him. Once the sūtra has established its substance, it must clarify the central theme in order to complete the teaching. Now, in clarifying this meaning, there are briefly five layers:
