Answer: Because ordinary worldly beings have not yet eliminated their afflictions and karma within the triple realm, he expounds the four truths of arising and ceasing—this is precisely the corrective remedy. The arhats and bodhisattvas have already eliminated their causal sicknesses within the triple realm, but they are merely deluded about the principle of the inconceivable three truths; therefore, he expounds the three kinds of four truths to thwart the śrāvakas, and expounds the uncreated four real truths to rebuke the bodhisattvas.
