The ground of the Buddha is as explained before: when sitting at the bodhimaṇḍa, through the wisdom corresponding [to reality] in a single thought, one severs all residual habits completely, which refers to the residual habits of the affliction obstacle and the obstacle to the knowable (jñeyāvaraṇa). Having transformed all sentient beings with whom one has karmic connections, one enters nirvāṇa without remainder, like fire extinguished when fuel is exhausted; the eight aspects of accomplishing enlightenment are as explained before.
