第二、從「若使不聞是經則為大失」者，但聞三藏方便之說，則失大乘毒鼓之利。《普賢觀》云「法將滅五百歲時，一心修此法華三昧，即得六根清淨。」故知末代亦能有入大乘之機，若不聞此經永失法利，故須宣通。

Second, from "if they are caused not to hear this sūtra, it would be a great loss": if they only hear the expedient expounding of the Tripiṭaka, they will lose the benefit of the poison drum of the Mahāyāna. The Sūtra on the Contemplation of Samantabhadra says, "In the five-hundredth year when the Dharma is about to be extinguished, single-mindedly cultivate this Lotus Samādhi, and you will immediately attain the purification of the six sense faculties." Therefore we know that the final age can also have the capacity for entering the Mahāyāna; if they do not hear this sūtra, they will permanently lose the benefit of the Dharma; therefore it must be proclaimed and circulated.
