2.144

「隨說法淨則智慧淨」者，說法本赴物機，機緣若淨則感菩薩智慧亦淨、所說亦淨，譬如猛風鈴聲則大。亦如世人說法，脫有利智福人來聽，說者非意智慧開解。

"In accordance with the purity of their expounding of the Dharma, their wisdom is pure": Expounding the Dharma fundamentally responds to the capacities of beings. If the conditions of their capacities are pure, they evoke in the bodhisattva a wisdom that is likewise pure, and what is expounded is likewise pure—just as in a fierce wind, the sound of a bell is loud. It is also like a person in the world expounding the Dharma: if by chance a person of sharp wisdom and merit comes to listen, the speaker's wisdom unexpectedly opens up with understanding.
