[Regarding the lines from "Though accomplishing..." to "... takes food"]—Third, the concluding explanation. "Though accomplishing all dharmas": penetrating the fourfold four truths, all provisional and real dharmas are fully accomplished. "Yet free from the characteristics of dharmas": the equal dharmadhātu is neither cause nor fruit and is inexpressible. Not seeing the characteristics of the fourfold four truths, the mind does not grasp or cling to them. Furthermore, if one penetrates the fourfold four truths, one sees the Middle Way, doubly illuminates the two truths, attains the samādhi of the three truths, is fully endowed with the three wisdoms, adorned with meditative stabilization and wisdom, and accomplishes the secret treasury of the three virtues, which is ultimately unobtainable. Conforming to the path, attachment to dharmas does not arise; one immediately enters the first abode of the Perfect [Teaching], and thought-moment by thought-moment, quiescence naturally flows in. If one can be like this, one is a true sage, an应供 [arhat worthy of offerings], a field of respect, and only then may take food. Since you are incapable of this, how could you take it?
