「維摩至眼淨」，五、明時眾得益。「法眼淨」者，悟即空理入於見道，名法眼淨。須用通教解釋，意在此也。

From "When Vimalakīrti… the purity of the Dharma-eye": Fifth, clarifying the benefit gained by the assembly at that time. "Purity of the Dharma-eye" refers to awakening to the principle of identity with emptiness and entering the path of seeing, which is called the purity of the Dharma-eye. The need to explain this using the shared teaching was intended precisely for this.
