4.27

「舍利弗」下，二、身子奉辭不堪。文為四：一奉辭不堪、二述不堪之由、三正述不堪之事、四結成不堪。初文者，往昔被彈，不識其言，故不堪奉命往問疾也。

From "Śāriputra [said to the Buddha]" onward is second: Śāriputra presents his declining as being unequal [to the task]. The text has four parts: first, he presents his declining as being unequal; second, he recounts the reason for being unequal; third, he directly recounts the matter of being unequal; fourth, he concludes his being unequal. In the first passage, having been rebuked in the past and failing to comprehend his words, he was unequal to receiving the command to go and inquire after the illness.
