5.26

「迦旃延」下，二、辭不堪。文為四：一正奉辭不堪、二述不堪之由、三正述不堪、四結成不堪。初文者，良以往昔解釋五義被彈無答，故不堪傳如來旨也。

From "Kātyāyana" onwards is the second [part], declining as incompetent. The text has four [parts]: first, properly offering his refusal as incompetent; second, recounting the reason for his incompetence; third, properly recounting his incompetence; fourth, concluding his incompetence. As for the first passage: truly, because in the past his explanation of the five meanings was rebuked and he had no reply, he is not competent to convey the Tathāgata's command.
