「富樓那」下，二、奉辭不堪。文為四：一辭不堪、二述不堪之由、三正述不堪之事、四結成不堪。初奉辭者，良以往昔說法乖機致被呵折，故不堪傳至聖之旨。

From "Pūrṇa" below: Second, respectfully refusing out of incompetence. The text has four parts: first, refusing out of incompetence; second, recounting the reason for incompetence; third, directly recounting the matter of incompetence; fourth, concluding his incompetence. First, respectfully refusing: truly because in the past his preaching of the Dharma went against the capacities [of his listeners], causing him to be rebuked and refuted, he was incompetent to convey the instruction of the Utmost Sage.
