5.89

「諸長者子至出家」，二、諸長者各辭有礙不得出家。淨名本勸觀真無為出二死家，諸長者子謂言勸其形服出家，故同辭有礙。引佛說者，具出《僧祇》。

From "The elder sons" to "leaving household life," second, the elders each decline due to hindrances, unable to leave household life. Vimalakīrti originally encouraged contemplating the true unconditioned to leave the household of the two kinds of death, but the elder sons thought he was encouraging them to leave household life in form and robes; therefore they concurred in declining due to hindrances.
