「故我不任詣彼問疾」，四、結辭不堪。羅云自惟往昔為諸長者子說出家功德，文義麁淺不稱長者子根緣，既被呵彈，豈堪傳旨往問疾也。

"Therefore, I am not competent to go there and inquire after his illness." Fourth, concluding by declining due to incompetence. Rāhula reflected that in the past, when he explained the merits of leaving household life for the elder sons, the literal meaning was crude and shallow and did not suit the capacities and conditions of the elder sons. Having been rebuked, how could he be fit to convey the message and go inquire after his illness?
