問：若爾，何得為鴦掘所折？答：事等從多，鴦掘從少。文殊未為淨名所彈，今承聖旨於義無妨。

Question: If so, why was he humbled by Aṅgulimāla? Answer: Matters are judged by the majority, and Aṅgulimāla is an isolated case. Mañjuśrī was not rebuked by Vimalakīrti; now, receiving the holy command, there is no contradiction in principle.
