「文殊師利言」下，二、為實疾菩薩問調伏觀法。又為二：一文殊問、二淨名答。問意如前，明為於法行，亦通為二行互相資發故問也。

From "Mañjuśrī said" below is the second [major section], asking about the contemplation method of subduing on behalf of bodhisattvas with actual illness. This also has two [parts]: first, Mañjuśrī asks; second, Vimalakīrti answers. The intent of the question is as before: clarified as being for [practitioners of] the Dharma, yet it is also asked comprehensively for both kinds of practice to mutually stimulate and develop each other.
