問：成就眾生與殖眾德本何異？答：利物無緣大悲名成就眾生，即是智集唯識通。如是取淨土，自行一心具足萬行，迴向菩提，名殖眾德本。即是非形第一體、非莊嚴莊嚴。

Question: What is the difference between bringing sentient beings to maturity and planting all roots of virtue? Answer: Benefiting beings with non-referential great compassion is called bringing sentient beings to maturity; this is the collection of wisdom and consciousness-only penetration. Apprehending a pure land in this manner, practicing personally with one mind fully possessing the myriad practices and dedicating them to bodhi, is called planting all roots of virtue. This is the formless primary essence, the adornment that is non-adornment.
