"Wondrous Arm" (Bāhuratna): he takes his name perhaps from being wondrous in worldly affairs, or because the two kinds of wisdom—provisional and real—constitute two, and this wisdom is ingenious and wondrous. "The mind of a bodhisattva and the mind of a śrāvaka are two": a śrāvaka fears saṃsāra and seeks personal liberation, whereas a bodhisattva is fearless and abides in saṃsāra. The mind of the two vehicles cannot be the mind of a bodhisattva, and the mind of a bodhisattva cannot be the mind of the two vehicles. The two vehicles abide in a tamed mind, whereas a bodhisattva abides neither in taming nor in untamed minds. Therefore they are two. If one can contemplate the nature of this mind as being like space—wherein no mind is seen within space, how much less any distinction between benefiting oneself and benefiting others?—because the nature of the mind is empty, one does not cling to the two extremes; this is entering the Dharma door of nonduality.
