From "When the Buddha" onward is the third [part], the contemporary assembly gaining benefit. The text has two parts: first, gaining benefit when purity is manifested; second, gaining benefit when the land is restored. Manifesting purity has two [benefits]: first, five hundred heard the teaching and attained the patience of non-arising, which corresponds to the seventh stage of the Shared [teaching], the first stage of the Distinct [teaching], and the first abode of the Perfect [teaching]. Next, eighty-four thousand gave rise to bodhicitta; the stages of bodhicitta are distinguished as before.
