From "Thereupon" down, fifth is the Brahmā kings generating the aspiration. The text has two parts: first, directly explaining that the Brahmā kings generated the aspiration; second, explaining their paying homage and departing. As for the initial generation of the aspiration: previously, hearing what Aniruddha stated did not discern the principle of true reality, nor was there the phenomenon of universally seeing the lands; hence it could not cause the Brahmā kings to generate the aspiration. Now, hearing the Great Being explain that the principle is true and phenomena are vast, surpassing what had previously been seen and according with their capacities and conditions, they all generated the aspiration. In the round teaching, the semblance generation is the iron wheel, and the true generation is the copper wheel. "Having bowed at the feet of Vimalakīrti, they suddenly disappeared": second is paying homage.
