"If one can be like this, this is truly leaving household life." Fourth, concluding with true leaving of household life. "If one can be like this": as listed above, all consist in attaining the true unconditioned through the Middle Way and being replete with the merits of personal practice and transforming others. This is a single mind being replete with the myriad practices, like a wish-fulfilling jewel possessing all treasures; this is the true esoteric practice of the four splendors. "This is truly leaving household life": correctly contemplating the Middle Way to attain the true unconditioned, one can leave behind the twenty-five states of existence of ordinary beings, as well as the households of the two vehicles and bodhisattvas of the shared teaching; that is, leaving behind the two kinds of households of birth-and-death and nirvāṇa. Hence it is called leaving household life.
