From "At that time" downward—the fifth part explains Mahākāśyapa's praise and understanding. The text has three parts: first, directly praising and showing understanding; second, clarifying through analogy; third, belittling himself. The reason Kāśyapa praised is that Mañjuśrī skillfully explained non-seeds to reveal the inconceivable Tathāgata-seed, whose principle is profound and mysterious. His understanding has two points: first, understanding that the category of afflictions (dust and toil) is the Tathāgata-seed; second, understanding that those who see the unconditioned and enter the correct stage are incapable of giving rise to bodhicitta.
