甲辰，即唐代宗廣德二年也。晉陵，縣名也，在常州。佛隴，在天台。神邕《山記》曰「從修禪寺南行二百步有盤石，平正猶如削成。古老相傳，佛甞於此放光，故名佛隴。」其夏，荊溪居修禪寺也。

Jiachan was the second year of the Guangde era under Emperor Daizong of the Tang. Jinling is the name of a county, located in Changzhou. Folong is on Mount Tiantai. Shenyong's Shansi [Mountain Record] states: "Walking two hundred paces south from Xiuchan Monastery, there is a flat boulder as level as if it had been sheared off. An ancient tradition relates that the Buddha once emitted light here; hence it was named Folong [Buddha Ridge]." That summer, Jingxi was residing at Xiuchan Monastery.
