五、明二經顯密益同，二：初、執《涅槃》顯益明異問。二、約今經密益示同答。答意者，菩薩顯入，二乘密入，見佛性理益同《涅槃》。借使二乘及鈍根菩薩未得即悟，亦因訶折堪成醍醐，故二經談常理無異轍，但開未開故分高下。

Fifth, explaining that the explicit and implicit benefits of the two sūtras are identical, with two parts: first, clinging to the explicit benefit of the Nirvāṇa to point out difference as a question; second, relying on the implicit benefit of the present sūtra to demonstrate identity as an answer. The intention of the answer is that bodhisattvas enter explicitly and the two vehicles enter implicitly; their benefit in seeing the principle of Buddha-nature is identical to that of the Nirvāṇa. Even supposing that the two vehicles and dull-rooted bodhisattvas have not yet been able to awaken immediately, through reproach and rebuke they are still capable of becoming ghee; therefore, the two sūtras do not differ in their paths when discussing the eternal principle, and they are divided into higher and lower only according to whether it has been opened or not yet opened.
