二、「真諦」下，兩師異執，二：初、敘二師解。荊溪云：若《地論》用七識斷六識智障滅者，說第七識能取八中清淨之相，真修未顯，皆屬六也。故今六中智障滅者，即顯八中清淨真修。二、依《中論》破。荊溪云：地師以八為自，攝師以八為他，故為《中論》撿破。

Second, from "Paramārtha..." downward, the divergent attachments of the two masters, in two parts: first, recounting the explanations of the two masters. Jingxi states: "'If the Dilun uses the seventh consciousness to sever the sixth consciousness's cognitive hindrance and extinguish it': this states that the seventh consciousness can grasp the pure marks within the eighth; before true cultivation is manifested, all belong to the sixth. Therefore, now that the cognitive hindrance within the sixth is extinguished, the pure true cultivation within the eighth is manifested." Second, refutation based on the Madhyamakaśāstra. Jingxi states: "The Dilun masters take the eighth as self, and the She lun masters take the eighth as other; therefore they are investigated and refuted by the Madhyamakaśāstra."
