Second, from "If a bodhisattva..." downward, clarifying harmonization in terms of realization, in two parts: first, clarifying realization in terms of the six turns—that is, the abodes, practices, dedications, grounds, virtual enlightenment, and wondrous enlightenment, borrowing the six seed natures of the Yingluo [sūtra] to clarify them. "The three kinds are cultivated equally": previously they were not unequal, but here, adjacent to the fruit, they distinctively receive the name 'equal.' Second, from "These three..." downward, concluding the three natures to reveal their mutual harmonization. Jingxi states: "As for 'not before and after' and so forth: precisely at the time of the three paths, they are naturally not vertical and horizontal; how could they only become like the letter *i* upon reaching the fruit? If the seeds were vertical and horizontal, the fruit would not be the inherently possessed letter *i* of principle nature. Contemplating deeply, where do the three paths reside? Since they reside in a single thought-moment, they cannot be vertical and horizontal; thus one knows cause and fruit are entirely like the *i*." Second, from "According to the text..." downward, generally showing the outline divisions, in two parts: first, the outline divided into six sections.
