五、約業道。荊溪云：因惡生善等者，此引可轉以為況例。一切大惡無不轉理，既轉為善，生三不護，當知惡體是不護體。譬如濕土能生乾土，成乾土已即成塼瓦，故知濕土是塼瓦體。

"5. Treating the path of action." Jingxi says: "Regarding 'because of evil, goodness arises', and so forth: this cites what can be transformed to serve as a parallel example. There is no great evil whatsoever that does not transform into principle. Once transformed into goodness, it gives rise to the three non-protections; one should know that the substance of evil is the substance of non-protection. For example, moist earth can produce dry earth, and once it has become dry earth it then becomes bricks and tiles; therefore one knows that moist earth is the substance of the bricks and tiles."
