Second, Guṇagupta, in two: First, explaining the name. Second, under "Self," explaining the gate, in two: First, the main explanation. "Or following nature and desires" and so forth refers to one's own practice. "Or to meet capacities" and so forth refers to transforming others. Second, under "If two," eliminating errors. "Not yet having emptied the object" means taking nirvāṇa as one's possession. Third, Animisa, in two: First, explaining the name. Mūrdhata's ascending to the Trāyastriṃśa Heaven has its circumstances as in the "Holy Actions Chapter" of the Nirvāṇa [Sūtra]. Second, explaining the gate. "Non-acceptance having five kinds": the "Action and Characteristic Chapter" of the Pañcaviṃśati states, "When a bodhisattva practices prajñā, he does not accept practicing, does not accept non-practicing, does not accept both practicing and non-practicing, does not accept neither practicing nor non-practicing, and does not accept non-acceptance." These five mean not accepting the two extremes.
