二、「但諸」下，斥古顯今，二：初、明聖德難量，斥古定執。「但諸菩薩」者，即指三萬二千並內冥實相、外應群機，論其所證難測高下。

Second, from "Only all" onwards, refuting the ancients and revealing the present, in two parts: first, clarifying that the noble virtues are hard to measure, refuting the ancients' fixed adherence. "Only all bodhisattvas": this points to the thirty-two thousand, who all internally merge with true reality and externally respond to the capacities of the multitudes; regarding what they have realized, it is difficult to fathom high or low.
