二、「若行」下，正勸末世。前汎明紹隆，猶在正法。今居像末，紹隆彌急。文為二：初、顯事能資理。「度人出家」者，唐大宗甞問玄奘三藏：「欲樹功德，何最饒益？」法師對曰：「眾生寢惑，非慧莫啟。慧芽抽殖，法為其資。弘法由人，即度僧為最。」「雖是」下，以假像知真，因事識理故也。

Second, from "if practicing" below, properly admonishing the final age. The preceding general clarification of glorification and continuation still took place in the true Dharma. Now, dwelling in the semblance and final [ages], glorification and continuation are all the more urgent. The text has two parts: first, showing that phenomena can aid principle. As for "ordaining people to leave home": Emperor Taizong of the Tang once asked Tripiṭaka Master Xuanzang: 'If one wishes to establish merit, what is most beneficial?' The Dharma Master replied: 'When sentient beings slumber in delusion, without wisdom they cannot be awakened. For the sprouts of wisdom to shoot forth and grow, the Dharma provides the nourishment. The propagation of the Dharma depends on people, so ordaining monks is foremost.' From "although it is" below: through provisional images one knows the true; because of phenomena one recognizes principle.
