二、「布施」下，正釋六。初，布施，二：初、釋布施，二：初、示五種布施，二：初、標。荊溪云：布施有五者，亦是菩薩與二乘所行施等為淨土因，故離為五。「及四菩薩施」者，藏通兼二乘，略標菩薩耳。

Second, from "Giving" downward, directly explaining the six [perfections]. First, giving, in two parts: first, explaining giving, in two parts: first, indicating the five kinds of giving, in two parts: first, statement. Jingxi says: "Regarding 'There are five kinds of giving': it is also that the giving and other [perfections] practiced by bodhisattvas and the two vehicles serve as causes for the pure land; hence they are divided into five." Regarding "And the giving of the four bodhisattvas": the Piṭaka and common [teachings] also include the two vehicles; it merely labels them as bodhisattvas.
