二、答，二：初、正答，二：初、正示眼。荊溪云：答意者，佛眼既為四眼之體，四眼即是法身之相，故使尋相見無相也。況無相之相諸相中上，故引《法華》即其事也。

Second, answer, in two: first, direct answer, in two: first, directly indicating the eyes. Jingxi states: "The meaning of the reply is that since the Buddha-eye is the substance of the four eyes, and the four eyes are precisely the characteristics of the dharmakāya, one is therefore caused to seek the characteristics to see the uncharacterized. What is more, the characteristic of the uncharacterized is supreme among all characteristics; hence citing the Lotus Sūtra points to this very matter."
