二、結成苦義。「何可恃怙」者，《詩》云「無父何怙。無母何恃。」注云「怙，賴也。恃，負也。」

Second, concluding and establishing the meaning of suffering. Regarding "how can one rely upon it": the Shijing says, 'Without a father, upon whom can one rely? Without a mother, upon whom can one depend?' The commentary states: 'Hù (怙) means to rely; shì (恃) means to depend.'
