二、「從不」下，略指料簡，二：初、指前語略。二、簡前用義。荊溪云：異三藏者，理俱異三，何但三藏。今沒二者，應知能異必異三教。今經文中通教似顯，故且從之。義解之人須令圓顯，文之旨故、應修門故、深收淺故、佛元意故，故令思擇令義歸圓。

Second, from "from not..." downward, briefly indicating the discernment, in two parts: first, indicating that the preceding words are brief; second, discerning the preceding applied meaning. Jingxi says: Distinguishing it from the Tripiṭaka [teaching]: principle is different from all three [teachings]; why only the Tripiṭaka? Now omitting the [other] two, one should know that what can differ must differ from the three teachings. In the present sūtra text, the shared teaching appears evident, so it provisionally follows it. A person of doctrinal understanding must cause the perfect to be revealed, because it is the purport of the text, because it is the gate that should be cultivated, because the deep subsumes the shallow, and because it is the original intent of the Buddha; therefore, one is made to contemplate and choose, causing the meaning to return to the perfect.
