二、「今言」下，正示經義。「貧里」者，〈周禮〉「五家為隣，五隣為里。」里，居也。「使現轉報」者，荊溪云：凡施聖眾皆蒙現益，如阿那律拔現貧苦。「稽時廢業」者，稽音雞，留止也。「非為物軌」者，習染甘美，安稱抖擻？豈堪為人軌範也？

Second, from 'Now we say' downward, directly demonstrating the sūtra's meaning. Regarding 'poor neighborhood', the *Rites of Zhou* states: 'Five households make a neighbor (lin); five lin make a neighborhood (li).' Li means dwelling. Regarding 'causing current transformation of retribution', Jingxi says: 'Whoever gives alms to the noble assembly all receive current benefits, just as Aniruddha was pulled out of current poverty and suffering.' Regarding 'delaying time and neglecting work', *ji* (稽) is pronounced *ji* (雞), meaning to stay and stop. Regarding 'not serving as a model for beings', habitual defilement by sweet delicacies—how could it be called shaking off? How could it be fit to serve as a model for people?
