二、「有云」下，大師因便斥古。「探取法華意耳」者，荊溪云：至法華時三乘被會，三即是一，邊方能嚴，以法華會悉入中故。故至涅槃，重以表顯一代所歸，非待涅槃方堪嚴樹。却引法華秋收冬藏，良有以也。

Second, from "Some say" downward, the Great Master takes the opportunity to refute the ancients. Regarding "simply anticipating and taking the intent of the Lotus Sūtra": Jingxi says that by the time of the Lotus Sūtra, the three vehicles were converged; the three are directly the one, and only then could the extremes adorn, because in the Lotus assembly all entered the middle. Therefore, coming to the Nirvāṇa [Sūtra], it again manifested and revealed the final destination of the entire lifetime of teachings; it is not that one had to wait for the Nirvāṇa [Sūtra] to be able to adorn the trees. Looking back to cite the autumn harvest and winter storage of the Lotus Sūtra is truly well-founded.
