二、引偈難破，二：初、通破四句。「並如初句」等者，應云偈言亦不從他生，豈有所緣真如之理生智斷而得受記也。偈云不共生，豈得能所合生智斷而得受記也。偈云不無因生，豈有離能緣所緣而有智斷而得受記也。

Second, citing the verse to present the difficulty and refute it, in two parts: first, comprehensively refuting the four propositions. As for 'Together as in the first proposition', and so forth: it should say that the verse states that it is also not produced from an other; how could the principle of true thusness as the cognized object produce wisdom and eradication so that one receives prophecy? The verse states that it is not produced conjointly; how could the combination of the cognizing and the cognized produce wisdom and eradication so that one receives prophecy? The verse states that it is not produced without cause; how could there be wisdom and eradication apart from the cognizing and the cognized so that one receives prophecy?
