二、「今言」下，依教別示，二：初、斥失。荊溪云：雖開境智，別相難分。一者從證，不可分故；二者居因，淺深莫測故，故須約教區以別之。

Second, under "now saying," specifically indicating according to the teachings, which has two parts: first, rebuking the error. Jingxi states: Although object and wisdom are distinguished, their specific characteristics are difficult to differentiate. First, viewed from realization, they cannot be differentiated; second, residing in the cause, depth cannot be gauged; therefore, they must be distinguished according to the teachings.
