五、無明住地，二：初、文殊問。二、淨名答。「阿梨耶」，此云無沒無明，以無始來未甞隱沒故。「攝大乘」等者，荊溪云：論云「是識無始時，一切法等依。」

Fifth, the stage of ignorance, has two parts: first, Mañjuśrī's question; second, Jingming's answer. "Ālaya" is translated here as unvanishing ignorance, because from beginningless time it has never yet vanished. Regarding "The Summary of the Great Vehicle," etc., Jingxi says: The treatise says, "This consciousness is beginningless, the equal reliance of all dharmas."
