四、傳釋，二：初、分科。二、隨釋，二：初、釋出病本。荊溪云：過去攀緣等者，因是果病之根本也，現未悉然。二、釋教化斷除。「病本即內外見」者，涅槃即內、我即外。此即二邊空也。「則能見般若」者，實相般若也。

Fourth, transmission and explanation, which has two parts: first, dividing the sections; second, explaining sequentially, which has two parts: first, explaining the emergence of the root of illness. Jingxi says: "Past conditionings..." and so forth—the cause is the root of the illness of the fruit; present and future are all like this. Second, explaining teaching, transforming, and severing. "The root of the illness is internal and external views": nirvāṇa is internal, and the self is external. This is emptiness of the two extremes. "Then one can see prajñā": the prajñā of true reality.
