二、正明雙流行，二：初、分科。二、隨釋，五：初、雙明雙流行。二、單明雙流行。荊溪云：單明雙流者，如云過魔伏魔秖是一邊，而無示魔，同魔一邊故也。雖但一邊，任運具二，故出一邊亦明雙流。又如求一切智及不非時求，亦秖一邊，對於而示現入假方是雙流。下去準知，不能委釋。「不隨解脫生五淨居」者，修八解脫具足事禪。

Second, directly clarifying the practice of dual flow has two [parts]: first, dividing into sections; second, explaining following [the text], which has five [parts]: first, jointly clarifying the practice of dual flow; second, singly clarifying the practice of dual flow—Jingxi says: regarding singly clarifying dual flow, as saying "surpassing Māra and subduing Māra" is just one side, while there is no "manifesting Māra," it accords with the side of Māra. Although it is only one side, it spontaneously possesses both, so setting forth one side also clarifies dual flow. Furthermore, as in "seeking all-knowledge" and "not seeking unseasonably," it is also only one side; pairing with it and manifesting entering the provisional is truly dual flow. The rest below should be known accordingly, and cannot be explained in detail. Regarding "not following liberation to be born in the five pure abodes," this is cultivating the eight liberations while being fully equipped with phenomenal dhyāna.
