二、「今略」下，別釋今品，二：初、列章。二、隨釋，三：初、品來意。荊溪云：淨名空室至所表者，空表寂光，寂光亦有本迹之別。身居空室，迹也；本因感果，本也。身亦有二，望土可知。現疾表迹，亦是迹用。

Second, from "now briefly" downward, separately explaining the present chapter has two [parts]: first, listing headings; second, explaining following [the text], which has three [parts]: first, the chapter's rationale for coming—Jingxi says: from Jingming's empty room to what is symbolized: emptiness symbolizes quiescent light, and quiescent light also has the distinction between fundamental and trace. The body abiding in the empty room is the trace; the fundamental cause bringing about the fruit is the fundamental. The body also has two types, which can be understood in reference to the land. Manifesting illness symbolizes the trace, and is also the trace's functioning.
