二、「何者」下，簡偏顯圓。二乘心性奚甞不具不思議性耶？但由背性成迷、非局而局，故《法華》開已一道無外。

Second, from 'Why is this?' downward, setting aside the partial to reveal the perfect. How could the mind-nature of the two vehicles not be endowed with the inconceivable nature? It is only that due to turning away from nature they fall into delusion, taking what is not confined to be confined; therefore, once the Lotus Sūtra opened [the provisional], the single path leaves nothing outside.
