二、答，二：初、敘意分科。荊溪云：答意者，所言慈者利物與樂以為其本，故知為說即是利他。即說三諦俱空之理，與究竟樂、拔究竟苦，故諸慈中具有智斷聖德等相，故說行相資，四段明益。

Second, the answer, in two parts: first, stating the purport and dividing the sections. Jingxi says: "The intent of the answer is that loving-kindness takes benefiting beings and bestowing joy as its foundation; thus we know that expounding [the Dharma] for their sake is precisely benefiting others. That is, expounding the principle that the three truths are all empty, bestowing ultimate joy and uprooting ultimate suffering; therefore within all instances of loving-kindness, the characteristics of wisdom, severance, noble virtues, and the like are fully present. Thus expounding the practice mutually assists, in four sections clarifying the benefit."
