As for "the eighth ground sinking into emptiness," Jingxi says: "Fascicle 21 of the old translation of the sūtra says: 'Having entered the eighth ground, the Buddhas of the ten directions speak thus: "Excellent, excellent! Good son! Because you have already attained this foremost forbearance, you accord with the Buddhas' teachings. The Buddhas all possess fearlessnesses and unshared dharmas that you have not yet attained." Therefore, strive with vigor.'"
