贊曰：今解此經，合以六門分別：一、經起所因；二、經之宗緒；三、明經體性；四、敘經不同；五、科品所從；六、釋本文義。

The Commentary says: In now explaining this sūtra, it is divided into six headings in total: first, the causes for the arising of the sūtra; second, the main theme and lineages of the sūtra; third, explaining the essence of the sūtra; fourth, recounting the differences among versions of the sūtra; fifth, the derivation of the sections and chapters; sixth, explaining the meaning of the root text.
