贊曰：此歎利他妙用功德，能遍十方起難思化，因已辦故。業者事業，作用之義，體即神通。菩薩事業、利他作用，即神通故。《成唯識論》第九卷中，解第十地二愚：一大神通，即所起事業故。舊經云「大智本行皆悉成就」，文言雖總本行，亦即神通利物。

Commentary: This praises the virtue of wondrous function in benefiting others, being able to manifest inconceivable transformations throughout the ten directions, because the causes have already been prepared. 'Deeds' means activities, the sense of functioning; its substance is simply spiritual penetrations. The activities and other-benefiting functions of bodhisattvas are precisely spiritual penetrations. In the ninth fascicle of the *Vijñaptimātratāsiddhi-śāstra*, explaining the two ignorances on the tenth ground: one is great spiritual penetrations, which are precisely the activities undertaken. The older sūtra says: 'Their great wisdom and fundamental practices were all accomplished.' Although the text broadly mentions fundamental practices, it also refers to spiritual penetrations benefiting beings.
