贊曰：牒前前事以讚揚中，為第二明於蓋內現影所由。顯示世間皆性非實，猶如光影非有似有，誑惑愚夫；令知虛偽，勿生封著。舊經無此。眾既覩已，莫不驚歎此希奇事，故我今禮。

Commentary: Within the praise reviewing the previous events, this second [part] clarifies the reason why the reflections were manifested inside the parasol. It reveals that the nature of the world is entirely unreal, just like light and shadows, non-existent yet appearing to exist, misleading and deluding foolish people; it causes them to know its falsehood and vanity so that they do not generate rigid clinging. The older sūtra translation lacked this. Having witnessed it, no one in the assembly failed to be astonished and marvel at this extraordinary event; therefore, I now bow.
