贊曰：此歎義無礙解。佛說法義，先行惡者聞法即怖，怖墮落故。先行善者聞法歡喜，善路生故。耽生死者聞法厭離，欣涅槃故。心不定者聞法斷疑，心正定故。三獸渡河，證淺深故。

Commentary: This praises the unobstructed knowledge of meaning (artha-pratisaṃvid). When the Buddha preaches the meaning of the Dharma, those who formerly practiced evil are terrified upon hearing the Dharma, fearing they will fall [into bad destinies]. Those who formerly practiced good are joyful upon hearing the Dharma, because the path of goodness opens up. Those who indulge in cyclic existence feel revulsion and detachment upon hearing the Dharma, seeking Nirvāṇa. Those whose minds are wavering sever their doubts upon hearing the Dharma, their minds becoming properly settled. Like the three beasts crossing the river, the realization differs in shallowness and depth.
