贊曰：下品第四段利益圓滿。有二：初大乘益、後小乘益。大乘益中，初明二益、後攝神足。此初也。初得無生在初地，任運無生在八地。既聞嚴淨，明彼未知佛之淨土，今得無生故入初地，或時無生得入八地。發心有二：一創發，始入初劫。二無漏發，在初地前、未得初地，故知發心方入初劫。

Commentary: Below is the chapter's fourth section: the consummation of benefits. It has two parts: first, benefits for the Mahāyāna; next, benefits for the Hīnayāna. Within the benefits for the Mahāyāna, it first clarifies two benefits, and then the withdrawal of the ṛddhipāda. This is the first part. The initial attainment of anutpāda occurs at the first bhūmi; spontaneous anutpāda occurs at the eighth bhūmi. Having heard of the adornments and purity, it is clear that they previously did not know the Buddha's pure land; now, attaining anutpāda, they enter the first bhūmi, or at that time attain anutpāda and enter the eighth bhūmi. Generating the mind [of awakening] is of two kinds: first, initial generation, just entering the first incalculable eon; second, anāsrava generation, which is prior to the first bhūmi before attaining the first bhūmi. Thus we know that generating the mind only then enters the first incalculable eon.
