Commentary: This reveals the effortless virtue of mutual benefit. If there are sentient beings who see or hear the bodhisattva, all receive relief and benefit, and in accordance with what is appropriate for their ailment, all can be saved: the blind obtain eyes, the deaf obtain ears, and so forth. Whatever the bodhisattva intends when giving rise to a thought, none is not a wholesome matter; because it is initially beneficial, never is there any futile endeavor that wastes merit. *Tang* means futile; *juan* means waste. The above forty lines conclude the specific praises of virtues.
